About

I am Iron… I mean, Tony Starks. A professional golf writer with 19 years of experience. After graduating from Morehouse College, an esteemed institute that boasts cultural-shifting alumni such as MLK, Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee and more, I pursued my passion for sports and journalism by landing with PGA Magazine.

Within a decade of journalistic efforts, I penned a variety of articles on topics spanning the industry. Everything from golf equipment and apparel to meaningful historical pieces on iconic figures of golf past and future. During this tenure, I also served as Chairman of the Communications Committee for the World Golf Foundation Diversity Task Force.

Later in my career, I joined TaylorMade Golf as the lead marketing copywriter. I contributed to campaigns that launched and sustained breakthrough products such as SIM, Stealth and Qi10. I also led a number of community relations efforts for the brand outside of my core responsibilities, most notably the TaylorMade Super Hike at Pebble Beach in support of Youth on Course.

My experiences as a writer, golfer and advocate for the game bring a unique perspective to any project that bears my name.
